Thu, Jun 20th: Plant Invaders of Northern Virginia: A Scavenger Hunt

Sara Archer, Invasive Plant Program Coordinator for Arlington County Department of Parks and Recreation will lead us on a walk through Bon Air Park, hunting for common invasive plant species. We’ll learn how to identify these invasive plants and how to combat them.

Bring any guidebooks you may have such as Plant Invaders of the Mid-Atlantic Natural Areas, published by the National Park Service and available on the Internet at:

Please wear long sleeves, long pants and closed shoes.

The group will meet at the Master Gardener demonstration garden near the Rose Garden and the parking lot on Wilson Boulevard.
