Sun, Sept 29th, Glencarlyn AutumnFest

Sunday, September 29th, 10am to 3pm.

“Autumn Fest,” a fall plant sale and gardening program, will be held at the Glencarlyn Library Demonstration Garden on Sunday, September 29, from 10  am until 3 pm, rain or shine.  Just in time for fall planting, Master Gardeners of Northern Virginia, in support of Virginia Cooperative Extension, will be answering gardening questions and selling hundreds of sun and shade-loving perennials, shrubs, and trees.  Free talks will also be given on Good Dirt (11 am), Choosing Shrubs and Trees (noon), and Fall Prep for a Winter Garden (1 pm).  Samples of herbal treats and drinks, face painting, balloon blooms, and potpourri making will also be featured.  Proceeds of the sale help to support maintenance of the Library Garden.
