The following events are scheduled by VCE Master Gardeners in Arlington and Alexandria in November.

This program will provide a tour of the native plantings at the Fairlington Community Center and will highlight plants with winter interest. Monday, November 14, Holiday Container Gardening with the Mt Vernon Alexandria Beautification Commission (ABC), 7-8:30 p.m., Mount Vernon Recreation Center, 2701 Commonwealth Ave., Alexandria, Virginia 22305.

Come learn some tips and tricks for keeping greenery fresh and for selecting plants for winter long interest in containers. This fun class is part winterizing your garden pots, part flower arranging, and it is all about beautifying Alexandria. No fee.
