Fall is the BEST time to install or restore fescue (cool-season) lawns, the most common turfgrass grown in our area. Fescue will be the focus of our talk, although other grass types will also be addressed briefly. Extension Master Gardener Joyce Hylton will describe how to improve lawns by tackling the primary issues of soil pH, proper and timely fertilization, watering, and mowing. The emphasis will be on sustainable practices and minimizing any negative impact of our actions on the environment.
