Life Underground: Why Soil Creatures Are So Important!

September 10 @ 11:00 am 11:30 am EDT

Free

Healthy soil is alive with worms, soil bacteria, fungi, and other critters and microorganisms. Kids are invited to come brainstorm what critters live in the soil and then explore some soil samples from different places to see what they can find. Some samples may have more life than others and we’ll talk about why that is. Extension Master Gardeners are offering this program for kids 5-8, in the Small Space Garden at the Fairlington Community Center, this Sunday, September 10, at two times:  10:00-10:30 am and 11:00-11:30 am.

Adults are asked to remain with children. Participants are limited to 15, first come, first served.
