2013 – Thu, Jan 24th: Workshop on Starting Vegetable Gardens from Seeds Indoors

Virginia Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will present a free workshop on the basics of starting vegetable plants from seed indoors.  The workshop will be held on January 24, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the Fairlington Community Center, 3308 S. Stafford St (off Quaker Lane) in Arlington.  Topics to be covered include seed selection, requirements for germination, how to use grow lights and the importance of hardening off indoor plants before moving them outdoors.
