SUMMARY:Inviting Nature In: Creating Outdoor Spaces that Support Wildlife
DESCRIPTION:Registration Procedure: \n\n\n\nRegistration is directly via Zoom; you will receive the confirmation with the Zoom link right away. \n\n\n\nRegister: https://virginiatech.zoom.us/meeting/register/Po5VxFoaSr6psDqf8r4auw \n\n\n\nClass Description \n\n\n\nNo matter the size of your yard\, you can create an inviting space that supports wildlife year-round. Each of us can play an important role in supporting native plants and animals in the face of challenges like habitat loss\, declining biodiversity and climate change. Join Master Naturalist Amy Bolton to discuss how to incorporate the basic needs for wildlife into your outdoor space. Learn how choosing a few strategic plants can attract a host of birds\, butterflies and mammals. Be surprised at the biodiversity you can support by planting native plants and creating a four-season habitat. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nEastern tiger swallowtail (Papilio glaucus) butterfly on Cephalanthus occidentalis (Buttonbush) in August.Photo © Christa Watters\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter you register\, \n\n\n\n\nYou will receive an immediate email Zoom confirmation with the link to the class and some registration questions.PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION – make sure to check your SPAM folder.\n\n\n\nYou will receive a reminder confirmation with resource materials the day before the class. \n\n\n\nPlease add events@mgnv.org and webmaster@mgnv.org to your address book\, so that emails from MGNV do not go into your spam or junk folder.\n\n\n\n\nRegistration stays open until the end of the meeting. \n\n\n\nIf you are a person with a disability and desire assistance or accommodation\, please notify Sarah Calhoun\, Unit Administrator at (703) 228 6400 during business hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. *TDD number is (800) 828-1120. \n\n\n\nIf you enjoy our free Public Education offerings\, please consider making a donation to MGNV to support our quality educational classes.\n\n\n\nCan’t join us for a live online presentation?
