Trees Make Perfect Pets!

Kids are invited! Join a storybook read-aloud this Sunday to learn about one girl’s unlikely best friend … a tree! Extension Master Gardeners will read “Trees Make Perfect Pets” about Abigail’s perfect pet, Fido, who keeps her cool from the sun, stays where she tells him, and gives her air for her to breathe. Can she learn how to keep him? After hearing the story and talking about what trees and plants need to grow, each child will plant a small open terrarium with a pet succulent to take home. Story time starts at 10:00 am in the Small Space Garden, Sunday, August 11. The space in the garden can accommodate a max of 10 children, first come, first served. Adults must accompany children.
