What tree, native primarily to the southeastern United States, has knobby knees?
A native deciduous conifer, found along wet stream banks, swamps, and river bottoms in the Mid-Atlantic Coastal Plain extending south to the Gulf Coast, produces irregular structures called knees. Click here to learn the species name and more about its knees.
