A Fruit Is a Suitcase for Seeds 

Kids are invited! Come learn about seeds and how the fruit they’re in protects them and helps them grow in new places, this Sunday, July 14, at 10 a.m. at the Small Space Garden. Master Gardeners will read a picture book – A Fruit Is a Suitcase for Seeds – and kids will help dissect some fruits to see what’s inside. Then they’re encouraged to go on a scavenger hunt for fruits available at the Fairlington Farmers Market (with adult help). The space in the garden can accommodate a max of 10 children, first come, first served. Adults must accompany children.
