Read a Book About Pollinators and Plants for Pollinator Week

Kids are invited to join an in-person activity in the Small Space Garden at the Fairlington Community Center (the garden is at the back of the building).  Extension Master Gardeners will read A Good Place by Lucy Cousins, a short children’s book about pollinators and the basic needs of plants. Then the children will put on gardening gloves to help transplant a few plants from their small pots to a large container in the Small Space Garden.  During future trips to the garden, the children and other visitors will be able to watch the plants grow. Parents or a guardian must remain with their children during the program.
