Sun rising.

Watching its light move down into the forest, touching earth,
I am touched, enlivened, inwardly aware
Of the collaboration of sun/warmth/wind/water
Summoning life on our planet … now and over eons.
We humans, who evolved late in the game/cycle/creation,
So often forget the co-creative process that allows us to be –
To bask in the sun, to breathe in the air, to rehydrate with water.
Each day we are invited
To celebrate the seasons of earth and life,
To experience joys and sorrows
To know each as being alive – Alive
In the midst of something larger and older than ourselves.
