Who is your MVR – Most Valuable Radish?Who is one person you would like to thank that personally helped you grow most this year? Did your community have a super volunteer who demonstrated something special? Do you know anyone who deserves recognition for their outstanding effort? Shout those RADISHES out! Your shoutouts will be included in this year’s GOLDEN RADISH award presentation portion of the 2022 annual meeting on December 10th.Please fill out this quick form with a message about your special radish.

Celebrate 2022 and look forward to 2023!
All are welcome to join this FREE in-person or online (hybrid virtual) event. We will gather at Arlington Central Library (1015 N Quincy Street) at 10 AM on December 10, 2022. Doors will open at 9:45 AMThis event will offer participants a summary overview of 2022 FOUA programs including:
- Gardeners, gleaners and distribution within Plot Against Hunger
- Educators, students and APS School Gardens Coordinators
- Successful second season at Highlands Urban Garden
- Collaborative partnership with Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE)
Additionally, County Board Members Libby Garvey and Matt de Ferranti will offer remarks on the state of urban agriculture, food security and goals for our local food economy in 2023.
Finally, in this season of thanks we will offer special shoutout recognition to all of our amazing volunteers including awarding the 2022 GOLDEN RADISH!
